Social Media Cafe 3

I arrived a late today, thanks to a certain train network.

Anyway, today’s event was sponsored by Creative Republic. So who are they? A question I’ve asked myself, the website linked about gives you the info you need to know.

Well, we’re a group of people who are involved in the creative and cultural industries in the West Midlands, UK.

So I should really know who they are (assuming I’m creative – I guess I am).

Stef Lewandowski introduced CR and also announced the beta launch of a new Dad website called ODadeo. Now this looks to be great, a site written for dads (or expectant) by dads. Not had too much chance to have a look yet, but hopefully will over the next few days.

Also spoke to Stef who also is a really nice bloke.

Next up was a superb voice over bloke called Marc Silk, heard of him? Actually I had heard him interviewed on RadioWM recently (I think it was him). You may know him if from some childrens TV characters (such as Rocket the Rabbit on Rory the Racing car).

Marc was entertaining during his presentation.

Heard about some interesting twittery type gadgets for inclusion on blogs etc.

Overall very impressed with what’s on offer at the Social Media Cafe. There should be some pictures available as Chris Unitt was doing the video (flip I think) and both Stef and myself did a few shots of the event.
