Too Hot and other stuff

For those that know me, you know I don’t do heat (apart from when I go on holiday). So the last few days have been bloody hot, too bloody hot. Please rain soon.

A side note is that the foil insulation I put in the loft seems to be o.k. It’s just the bleedin velux windows that turn in to radiators (even with the blackout/solar blind). So I’m sitting rather unattractively in my shorts and no shirt. I’ve even been to Micheals booze market at the Yew Tree to get lager (though this is for the CIB un-launch party later). So please people do a rain dance for the chubby gingers who burn in this weather.

As mentioned above, today is the sort of closing day for the CIB shop in the bullring. It’s done really well, creating a outlet for the Creative People in the Birmingham area. The shop was generously let for nothing by the Bullring, now someone wants to move in. A bit sad, but good that someone wants to open a retail outlet in Brum.

Is it the end?

Probably not, the hard working creators of CIB are taking a well earned rest, and hopefully something should happen maybe later on in the year. As for me, well I’ve treated it as a project. Currently on April’s figures I’m losing money (-2 quid), but I’ve invested a bit to get it going. All I have to do is sell one my image and I’m back in profit. Hopefully May will be a good month. Still it’s been enjoyable and it’s nice to know several people out there like my images enough to buy one (and one of them was from the Twang! or a good lookalike).

I may decide to sell at a few art fairs but may have a nose around at a few first. Right, this bloody loft is too hot and I’m not going to be typing in my pants, so I’m off.
