So, how long will it last.

The blog that is.  Seems to be up and running now.  Will attempt a reboot soon.  The SQL server should restart (cos i’ve told it too).  Pity I lost the 2 months of blog data.  Real pisser is the fact I’d changed all the image location links too.

I’ll investigate the possible of using SQL admin to change them.  Cos I don’t want to edit every post again.

We are Premier League (again)

Yep, after a fairly inconsistent season we’ve finally got promoted.   A few games back we rode our luck and scraped the odd result.

Short post I know, but it matters to me!

Footy

Played my first game in nearly 6 years. Started well, didn’t loose the ball too much. Back was a concern for me. But it held out. The ankle however didn’t

AnkleTwisted it (left one) which as very painful. 4 hours later it still is.

Kept going though, even scored to make to 7-1 (to us) at half time.

Canon EF300mm f/4 L IS USM

Told you I’ve got a thing about primes, 3rd one of the year. Anyway, after a long wait I finally plunged the bank account and bought it. Again the source was the ever reliable Kerso. A veritable bargain at £700 delivered.Canon EF300 f/4 IS USM

The lens comes in the usual Red, White and Black box. As it’s an ‘L’ Lens of course it comes with a case (though a canvas zip up case) and a hood. The hood on this lens is built into the body and can be used with screw in filters (77mm).

The lens is pictured in front of the EF70-200 f/4 L as a reference to the size difference (Hood down). It’s quite a weighty lens, though Canon have recognised this with the inclusion of the tripod mount (an optional extra with the EF70-200 series, though in fairness to Canon not really needed).
