Goodbye old friend

One of those ‘I’ll get round to tasks’ was completed within this last hour.  Since my trip to the flying legends airshow at Duxford my little friend has been with me.  Not always present, but on occasion appearing when I thought he’d gone forever.   My friend in fact is a dead fly.  He first appeared during the Duxford show, then he disappeared for a while.  In the last week he made and appearance.  Whilst not bothering me much I thought I’d better dispose of the micro corpse.

So after finding out the removal of the 5D focus screen wasn’t at all difficult he’s gone.

pestTaken next to the edge of a SD flash card you can see how small he was.

He has not been forgotten though, captured here for generations to come.  In fact he has been preserved in Sellotape.  The preservation was carefully completed by sticking the tape to a bit of wood.

Writers block, well actually updates, plus moans etc……..

I feel as it is 01:47 on Sunday morning I really should post to why I’m up at this hour. Frankly I have no reason to be, currently yawning as I type this drivel. Well I could blame Channel 4 for their ’25 years’ celebration program. Which was mildly entertaining. Most for those ‘Christ that was shite’ memories.

Right so fitness campaign. Well it seems to be going well. Not lost any weight as yet, but I do feel better. I think my man tits have slowly decreased as well. Weight seems to have increased, but from what I can gather this is fairly normal as muscle is more dense than fat. Still hoping to continue with going 3 times a week. Though next week should really consider sleeping.

Yoga is still very much part of the regime. Think this has been my 8th week of my initial paid for 10. Enjoying this very much as well. I feel a bit more part of the group now that I’m able to speak to a few more people. Also helps they are a nice and friendly crowd. Plus they don’t mind me falling over every now and then.  I need to work on my groin and ankles in my spare time. The groin seems to fail when standing on one leg (Ardha Chandrasana) and the ankle hurts during leg stretching (Utthita) poses. Still it is all good and I will pay for another 10 lessons (and probably more after).

My current aim is to get slimmer, you know lose the spare tyre. Maybe even build up my muscles a bit. However I think my long term aim is to carry on with Yoga and probably start to go running.

6 months on still…………………..

……..no handbook from my employers. Still waiting for the ability to access a HR related website. We need a keyfob which costs a vast £13. Apparently this is to much of a cost for ‘bean counter’ to actually get off his arse and order. So I have to ask my manager to arrange payment for something which I should’ve had 6 months ago.

Oh the joys of working for a major outsourcing company. Indeed the word I’m looking for is cunts.

Fitness campaign v43322232.1

Yes, it’s that time again when my body and me decide to take a different path for fitness. I’ve been enjoying yoga for a couple of months now, but decided I needed that big push to shift the flab.

So today I join a gym, nothing too fancy. A local council gym. Facilities are fine and the equipment works. Enjoyed the circuit around the gym tonight. However the body is fighting back. I’ve had the sniffles for the last day, maybe the cold will resurface after a 2 week break. We’ll see.

I’m going again Wednesday, so hopefully it’ll shift.

Blues vs Keep Right On

So today I reached a conclusion about my life, I’m shite at football. Also I’m quite overweight and unfit. So hopefully in the morning (legs permitting) I might go for a jog. I need also to cut down on the shite I eat.

Anyway, good laugh playing today. We managed to keep our score at Nil. Blues old boys scored 15. Still it’s all for charity, which I need to get people to stump up for. Enjoy the pics, include the fat bloke one at the end.
