Tired, but staying up………

It’s a constant battle I have, tiredness, but unwilling to go to bed.

Maybe it’s insomnia, maybe just me being a stubborn git.  Anyway, I’m currently in this sort of mood.  So what happens?

Usual random thoughts (especially as there is some right cack on the Gasto coverage at the moment).  Tonights random thought, do I fit in?

Fit in where?  Well Social Media.  I blog, twitter and attend a few of the social media activities.  But wondering at the moment, why?

Blogging is simple, it’s just a outlet for my rants/work or both.

Twitter, seems to be an extention to the bloging.  Micro Moaning!

Social Media?  Well that’s the big one.  Where am I with it?  Why do I do it?

Someone asked me recently about it, and I couldn’t answer.   So answers on a postcard please………

So, it’s all over.

Seems the family turmoil is now complete.  Pretty drastic thing to say, but I’ll explain.

It started with an invite to a wedding evening, nothing unusual about that I suppose.  However, for some reason we (me, lou, Rachel and Callum) are only invited to the evening, when my older brother is invited to both (it’s my other brothers Step-Daughter, so he’s sort of obliged to go.).   So we made our excuses not to go, rather than just complain.

Anyway it turns out that my wife is horrible, a nasty person who ignores the groom to be.  This actually was a fairly groundbreaking revelation for both of us.  Anyway all along it seems Louise is to blame, mainly for not inviting bride to be’s children to Rachel’s party.  Previous to this baby Callum arrived and no one from said household bothered to call, though that was due to them not having our mobile numbers (despite bride to be calling my supposedly nasty wife to help her get rid of an unwanted house visitor).  To make matters worse, we didn’t invite said bride to be or children to Rachel’s 4th birthday party.  Though we’d previously invited her before and we heard nothing, so thought what the hell.

So the at Mom and Dads usual pre-christmas meal this bride to be decided to blank and ignore our 4 week old Callum to prove what being ignored is like.

A few months pass and then the invite arrives, obviously forgetting our children’s names (cos apparently it’s too small to write them all in, so I guess it’s an inclusive invite which probably includes the dog as well – nice thought as doggies are always missed off).  After dropping loud hints to the fact that I’m a little pissed off word gets back to the bride to be.  Then the texts messages start, though via a proxy as the bride didn’t want to communicate herself.  Eventually she did and the truth is revealed (as posted earlier).

Now, my Mom and Dad are a little annoyed quite angry about this and decided themselves not to go to the wedding either.  Also today Mom and Dad decided not to bother giving said bride any money for her birthday, which again as seems to be the norm has to be dealt with via a 3rd party.

So mother of bride called Dad today to demonstrate about the lack of birthday money, phone call ends up with message that ‘they’ no longer want to have anything to do with our family.

So no change from the last 4 years then.

4am – Job, Jobbed*

So, it actually happened.  I managed not only to wake up, but also get to the Jewellery Quarter to take part in the 4amProject.

Apologies to others, but it seems my images have overtaken the front page!  I did upload 36 images.  I’ve spanned my 4am images to cover the entire hour.

Was an enjoyable early start, feeling it now though.  So i think its time for another sleeeeeeeeep

Early riser?

Well, I’ll attempt to be on Sunday morning.

Local Brum photographer Karen Strunks has been working on a project for a while. Initially it started as a personal project, taking pictures at 4am. Since then the 4am Project has moved on. Sadly I missed the last one (04/04/09), but I’m aiming to do this one.

A number of people are scheduled to meet up in the Jewellery Quarter for a photo walk (In St. Pauls Sq). So come along, bring a picnic as well!

As of now, I’ve made a change to the comments. They have to be authorised by me. For some reason Spam Karma no longer works (nor is supported) so I’ve ditched it. Shame as it was really useful. Most comments should appear within a day, unless they are Spam. Though some of the more creative spam will be posted, but modified. Probably calling the Spammer an Attention Seeking Whore.
