{"id":744,"date":"2009-05-01T22:01:31","date_gmt":"2009-05-01T22:01:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kebablog.co.uk\/?p=744"},"modified":"2009-08-14T13:27:39","modified_gmt":"2009-08-14T13:27:39","slug":"piano-lesson-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kebablog.co.uk\/?p=744","title":{"rendered":"Piano Lesson 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve started proper lessons&#8230;&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Seemed to go well, though I think Jo may have to get used to me jumping ahead of my ability on occasion.\u00a0 Most important thing for me is I&#8217;m starting to read music and use my left hand for more than a single note.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m still not overly convinced about the sound of 7th chords, but I&#8217;m sure in time (and when the fingering gets better) it&#8217;ll sound better.\u00a0 I&#8217;m starting at fairly basic level of book, but still there&#8217;s a lot which I cannot do.\u00a0 Biggest thing for me will be the sight reading, currently I memorise the pieces before playing.\u00a0 I&#8217;ll get there.<\/p>\n<p>2nd lesson next Thursday (long weekend knackered it up a bit for Monday).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;ve started proper lessons&#8230;&#8230;.
