Take Saturday for example, caught a taxi home. Then arranged with the driver to book another taxi for an hour later. This was a black cab, so no dodgy private hire here.<\/p>\n
So 19:15 turns up, but the cab doesn’t. My wife calls TOA. No booking has been made.<\/p>\n
Lie? Promise? Failure? dunno, probably all three. Private hire turned up within about 20 minutes.<\/p>\n
Avid readers may recall my job indecision posts. In the end decided to join the company where I’ve been for the last 2 years or so. Took a week off to sort out my affairs (Accountants, P45, etc). Was waiting for the contract of employment to turn up. Well it didn’t and still hasn’t. So day 6 of working for free. It’s rumoured to be coming soon, but I have yet to see it.<\/p>\n
