Basically the problem was when I connected the 5D, click on Start to Download. I get a message \u2018Camera is busy and cannot communicate. Clear if camera\u2019s LCD monitor is displayed.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>So after a number of reinstalls of the lovely Canon Eos software I discovered an easy fix.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Turn on the camera and preview any image on the rear screen.<\/li>\n<li>Fire up Eos Utility manually &#8211; you might want to kill off some of the canon software.  Though an automated startup might work if you&#8217;re quick enough!<\/li>\n<li>Clear the previewed image on the LCD on the camera, click to download and it works<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This also works for tethered mode.  It seems to only effect the Eos 5D and Leopard (on both updates and new installs).<\/p>\n<p>I initially posted these findings on the <a href=\"http:\/\/chrismarshall.ws\/leopard-application-issues\" title=\"Chris Marshall\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Marshall Blog<\/a>.  Although the blog didn&#8217;t help It provided a resource for the fix to be found in the future.<\/p>\n<p>Thought I&#8217;d post it here mainly as a self pimpage!
